OUTLOOK

Led by head coach Jenny Rollins, the Jaguars are ready to get this party started. Preslee Ray (Sr.) was a 6A-1 all-district selection and conference honorable mentions last year. She is the team’s most anticipated returning player. “Preslee is a vocal leader who seeks to constantly improve. She uplifts and motivates her teammates even when she is having an off day,” Rollins said. “Her passion for her sport is obvious in the way she plays the game. Preslee is a consistent leader who her teammates rally around. She is often the life of the party while maintaining her focus for competition.” Utility player and righty pitcher Siddaleigh Steelam (Sr.) is a stabilizing force for the Jags. “Siddaleigh Steelman does not always get much notoriety, but she is a key piece of the team. . . She also contributes in the circle and is flexible in the offensive lineup,” Rollins said. “Siddaleigh is a strong leader, has a great work ethic and is the definition of a good teammate.” Kaysie Gallope (Jr.) is a multi-sport athlete whose presence is important for several reasons aside from her talent. “Kaysieis an outstanding teammate and all-around human,” Rollins said. “She is a multi-sport athlete who seeks to always include others and make people smile. Kaysie has a people-first mentality, and while she is highly competitive, she does not let that interfere with her passion and care for the people around her.” Elle Seeley (Fr.) hasn’t yet made her varsity debut, but she — and her teammates — are chomping at the bit for her to step on the field. “She [Seeley] has a deep offensive toolbox that brings speed and power to the lineup, while also having a strong defensive presence,” Rollins said. “She is the type of athlete that comes in year one and has an impact.”
