NORMAN NORTH TIMBERWOLVES
Coach: JUSTIN JONES
9-3
OFFENSE
The Timberwolves are primed for a successful season with a strong and experienced offensive lineup. Norman North will feature a spread offense, guided by senior quarterback Owen Eshelman (6-3, 179, Sr.), who passed for 2,279 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. Running back Will Lundquist (5-9, 160, Sr.) and slot receiver Carter Hammer (5-8, 145, Sr.) add depth to the offensive attack. The offensive line is fortified by center Eric McMullan (6-1, 300, Sr.) and tight end Ben Kolar (6-3, 187, So.). Mason James (6-0, 177, Jr.), Jayden Carmen (6-0, 167, Sr.) and Kolt Lightfoot (6-0, 175, Sr.) will also aid at the wide and slot receiver positions. The Norman North offense will be dynamic and capable of big plays in both the run and pass game. With seven returning starters, the Timberwolves are set to build on their offensive success.
DEFENSE
Defensively, Norman North operates from a multiple 3-4 base, emphasizing versatility and aggressive play. Leading the defense is linebacker Logan Richard (6-1, 240, Sr.), who recorded 101 tackles and nine tackles for loss last season. The secondary is strengthened by safety Reece Crandall (5-10, 176, Sr.) and cornerback Ryan Humphrey (6-3, 180, Sr.). Defensive lineman Garrison Utley (6-3, 277, Sr.) racked up 72 tackles and 15 sacks last season for the Timberwolves. Senior linebackers Tate Johnson (6-0, 215, Sr.) and Kane Meyer (5-11, 185, Sr.) will bolster the linebacker corps and keep opposing offenses out of the end zone. Other key defensive players include defensive lineman Daniel McMorris (6-6, 250, Jr.) and safety Rhett Zimmerman (5-10, 176, Sr.). Norman North should have a tough, experienced group that can disrupt offenses and create turnovers. With four returning starters, the Timberwolves’ defense is expected to be a formidable force.
