OUTLOOK
The Bombers are reloading after losing a couple of key players to graduation. Head coach Torey J. Noel is eager to get this team some experience playing together and to see what they can accomplish as they face another tough schedule.
“We lost three starters from previous year. Two of those were leading scorers. We played about eight players last year, so we still have some experience. We added a transfer that’s a winner alongside DJ Denson that was huge for us in our playoff run last year. I think this year we will play more team ball and will be good defensively,” said coach Noel.
Deshawn “DJ” Denson (6-3, Jr.) is a point guard who averaged 22.3 points a game last year and has averaged over 20-points in his first five game this season. Denson is a dynamic scorer who can handle the rock and get his teammates involved in the game. His defensive is on point and is making it known he is a next level talent.
Chance Davis (6-3, Sr.) is a combo guard who can do it all. Davis averaged 16.5 points a game last year and is on pace to average between 20-30 points a game this season. Winning is what Davis knows best and his leadership on and off the court will set the tone for Bombers.
Also look for Jarvis Nash (5-10, Sr.), another combo guard who can score in multiple ways. Nash averaged 13.4 points a year ago and is making his presence felt on both ends of the court thanks to his stellar defense. Kenyon Brown (6-5) will play forward giving the Bombers a physical player inside who is not afraid of doing the dirty work on the boards.
Mason McKenzie is another player to watch this season. McKenzie brings a team-first attitude to the court and is known for being a great leader and team captain.
