CHOCTAW LADY YELLOWJACKETS
Coach: Ryan Maloney
23-24 Record: 24-2
OUTLOOK
After a 24-win season the Lady Yellowjackets are returning to the court with several players who made big contributions to the team last season. Head coach Ryan Maloney is ready to see what this team can accomplish.
“Returning three starters coming off a great season. Moving back to the west side for district play,” said coach Maloney.
Aliyah Duval (Jr.) is a two-year starter and plays the point guard spot for coach Maloney. Her play sets the tone on the defensive end of the floor. Duval is a two-time Defensive Player of the Year in conference and has worked to make her game more well-rounded as she looks to get more involved on the offensive end of the floor.
Another player looking to make the most of every opportunity is Adison Kraeer (Sr.) at guard. Kraeer has good ball skills and is looking to make her final season of prep basketball her best. Also look for Malerie Hawk (Sr.) and Mariah Watson (Sr.) at forward. Both are solid players inside and will need to win the battle on the boards. Anniyah Navarro (Jr.) adds depth at guard and should see quality minutes on the court.
Other players to watch include Essence Curry (Jr.) at guard, Jordyn Baldwin (Sr.) at forward, Sarah Wrobleski (Sr.) at guard, Monroe Swope (Sr.) at guard, Malia Adkins (Jr.) at forward, Lyric Gillespie (So.) at guard, Parker Johnson (So.) at forward, Riley Johnson (So.) at guard, Jayden Pittman (So.) at center, and Makenna Austin (Fr.) at guard.
