Athlete Spotlight with Edmond North’s Gable Davis – Presented by Andrew Ruiz-Shelter Insurance

Gable Davis is a junior at Edmond North High School and a member of the varsity soccer team. What Davis loves about playing on the varsity team are his teammates and playing goalie.

“What I love most about my teammates are the relationships I’ve created with all of them, Davis said. “What I love most about playing goalie is the responsibility I have for the team.”

Davis started playing soccer when he was in the fourth grade. Over the years Davis said he’s made many great memories with his teams and teammates, but one stands out.

“My favorite memory on the soccer field was when we played Moore and I saved two Pk’s and scored the winning penalty kick,” said Davis.

Soccer is not the only reason Davis loves being a student-athlete at North.

“Edmond North has great sport facilities and good team spirit,” said Davis.

Aside from the usual stuff, Davis plans to spend his summer with friends and family.

“On my down time I like to hang out with my friends and family. My plans this summer are to work and go to goalkeeper camps,” Davis said. “After high school I’m planning on playing college soccer and get a degree in engineering.”

Davis said his father is a source of inspiration and is there to support him in everything he does from soccer to the classroom.
