Avery Raney is a senior at Norman High School, but who is she really? Well, she’s a student-athlete who loves being around her teammates on the varsity soccer team.
“I love how close we all are. Everyone supports each other, and it feels like a family on and off the field,” said Raney.
She someone who is inspired by her parents.
“My parents inspire me because they always push me to work hard and give my best no matter what,” said Raney.
A teammate who knows her team inside and out.
“I expect us to keep improving every game, play together as a team, and hopefully make a strong run in the playoffs,” Raney said. “Eleanor Lockhart is one teammate that is always hyping you up or always able to make you laugh.”
A Tiger who is involved in several school activities.
“An organization I am in for school is TigerPalooza,” said Raney.
The senior is a student who has her favorites in the classroom.
“My favorite subject is science. My favorite teacher has been Mr. Cox, because he made learning fun and always helped students when needed,” said Raney.
And a person who enjoys her down time and is making plans for her future.
“What I like to do my free time is hang out with friends and workout,” Raney said. “After high school I’m going to be continuing my academic and athletic career playing soccer at Arkansas State University. While I’m there I’m going to be getting my nursing degree.”
