9 Questions with Midwest City’s Auleah Williams – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: Auleah, what grade are you in this year and what position do you play on the Midwest City softball team?

Auleah Williams: I’m at 12th grader and I play right field.

VYPE: When did you get your start in softball?

AW: I started playing when I was about 5 or 6.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?

AW: What I love most about my team and teammates is the chemistry between us, I think that’s what sets us apart from every other team we have played because we just get along so well it translates onto the field.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

AW: Janie Reed inspires me because the way she motivates others to become better makes me want to better myself every time I’m on the field. 

VYPE: What’s been the biggest surprise this season?

AW: My biggest surprise this season was that during one of our close games at home I caught a ball that was the 2nd out and if I hadn’t caught it, the girl at third would’ve made it home and we would’ve lost the game but luckily, we didn’t.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in class and who is your favorite teacher?

AW: My favorite subject in school is science because there’s so many different types and my favorite teacher was Mr. Woods when I was in 8th grade 

VYPE: What other clubs or groups do you belong to at school?

AW: I am in Interact Club and German Club.

VYPE: How do you like spending your free time?

AW: I enjoy playing video games, reading, and playing pickleball.

VYPE: What will life after high school look like for Auleah Williams?

AW: I would like to go to college and major in sports management.
