OUTLOOK
With a younger roster, head coach Kayla Fourkiller will lean on the senior leadership of players like Lexi Tompkins (5-5, Sr.) this season.
“We are a very hard-working young team. We have one returning senior guard, Lexi Tompkins and a few young returning starters with a lot of court time. We will look for them to lead the way this season. Everyone has been working hard this off-season and looking forward to seeing all the hard work come together on the court during the season,” coach Fourkiller said.
Tompkins averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 assists last season. Sabrina Hernandez (5-4, Jr.) is another guard who averaged 6.2 points and 2.0 rebounds and will have an impact again this season from her backcourt spot. Kenci Brown (5-10, So.) is a young player who averaged 6.2 points with 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals during her freshman season. Brown is a VYPE Top 100 selectee this season.
Claire Rice (5-7, So.) is another young player looking to help this team win games. Rice was good for 4.3 points and 2.0 boards per game last year. Paisley Buckman (5-4, Jr.) will pitch in on average 2.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and one assist per game. As the lineup continues to develop and mature, look for several players to find their way to the court as coach Fourkiller makes adjustments.
Other players to watch include Amia Ramsey (5-5, Sr.), Abby Effiong (6-0, Sr.), Dasiya Jones (5-5, Jr.), Amanda Rodriguez (5-7, So.), Lilian Raprich (5-7, So.), Tynlee Richardson (5-7, So.), Gianna Martinez (5-7, So.), Samiyah Smith (5-9, So.), Daysha Holt (5-10, Fr.), and Sophia Sevy (5-8, Fr.).
