MIDWEST CITY LADY BOMBERS

Coach: MEGAN MALOY-KNIGHT

2024-25 Record: 15-8

OUTLOOK

The Midwest City Lady Bombers open the season with firepower athleticism and the type of depth that allows them to push a relentless pace from start to finish. Head coach Megan Maloy-Knight leads a group that thrives in an up-tempo system built on pressure attacking defense and a commitment to playing fast with purpose.

Freshman guard Brooklyn Henderson (5-9) is one of the most electrifying young players in the state. She uses her length quickness and natural instincts to pressure ball handlers disrupt passing lanes and turn defense into immediate transition offense. She attacks the rim with confidence and has already shown the ability to score in traffic finish with either hand and control the tempo despite her youth.

Sophomore guard Bailee Guthery (5-8) returns from injury and gives the Lady Bombers a strong scoring threat who brings physical drives and improved perimeter shooting. Seniors Ceidi Johnson (5-6), Promise Wright (5-5) and Sevyn Miller (5-7) provide leadership energy and toughness with Miller anchoring the defense and setting the competitive tone every day in practice. Post player Maya Hodges (6-1) adds size, rebounding and interior scoring giving Midwest City balance in both transition and half court situations.

Other players to watch include Kennadi Downer (5-4, Sr.), Audrea Walter (5-7, Sr.), Da’Naya Douglas (5-9, So.), Aurianna Walter (5-8, Fr.), Ja’liana Overby (5-6, Fr.), Kierra Rollins (5-5, Jr.), and De’Ayzsha Douglas (5-7, So.).

Midwest City expects to run, rotate constantly and wear opponents down over four quarters.
