Moore’s Maddox Mchenry
VYPE: Maddox, what events do you compete in with the Moore swim team?
Maddox Mchenry: I swim in the 50 freestyle, the 100 freestyle, the 100 breast, and i also swim in our relays that is the medley relay and our 200 free relay.
VYPE: What grade are you in this year?
MM: I am a junior this year.
VYPE: What have you improved on the most coming into the season?
MM: I think what I’ve improved this year is my drive to give it all no matter what.
VYPE: Which teammate keeps everyone laughing?
MM: I would say Jack Wytte is who makes everyone laugh.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
MM: What I love is that swimming has brought so many different people that I would never talk to but because of swimming I’ve met some of the best people I know and are now friends with and I have to thank swimming for it.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
MM: My favorite subject in school would have to be English and My favorite teacher is Mr. Walker that I had last year, and he made learning way more interesting than the rest.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
MM: Who inspired me to pursue swimming would have to be my Mimi and Pawpaw they have always been there for me when it came to swim, and they would always try and push me to the next level.
VYPE: Plans for life after high school?
MM: My plan after high school is probably to join the Air National Guard or Reserve and to go work at Tinker Air Force Base like my dad.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
MM: I like to hang out with friends and loved ones when I have free time.
