Norman North’s Ty Lashbrook
VYPE: Ty, what grade are you in and what position do you play for the baseball team?
Ty Lashbrook: I’m a junior and I play 3rd and pitch.
VYPE: What’s the strength of your game and what are you working to improve?
TL: I would say my strength is my fielding and something I need to work is just staying consistent at the plate.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
TL: The one thing I love about my teammates is that we can all joke around with each other and no one gets offended.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
TL: Someone that inspires me is probably my grandma and I say that because she’s always at my games she’s always cheering me on even that games she can’t make she’s such a loving person and so supportive.
VYPE: What is the toughest part about playing your position?
TL: Toughest part about the position is probably when balls get hit hard and you don’t have much time to react.
VYPE: What makes representing NNHS special for you?
TL: What makes representing Norman North special is it’s my hometown I’ve grown up here my whole life and having kids look up to me is pretty special to me.
VYPE: What current or former teammate left an impression on you?
TL: I would say Will Lundquist because even though we weren’t that close he always had that dawg mentality, and he got on to me a couple of times last year and it woke me up and made me realize that I needed to get myself together.
VYPE: What has athletics taught you that you will use for the rest of your life?
TL: Something athletics have taught is how to overcome tough moments and learn from them.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
TL: After I graduate, I want to go play baseball at the next level.
