
Choctaw’s Anna Malaske
VYPE: Anna, what position are you playing in softball this year?
Anna Malaske: I play centerfield, outfield and second base.
VYPE: Now that you’re a senior, tell us what your favorite memory is as a student-athlete at Choctaw HS.
AM: The memory I am most proud of is winning a state title in slow-pitch my junior year. The accomplishment I am most proud of is earning All-State.
VYPE: What has sports taught you that you can use in life?
AM: Softball has taught me how to think of myself less and focus on my teammates more.
VYPE: Name your favorite teacher from any grade.
AM: Mrs. Trousset is my favorite teacher. She always has something every day to make us better and always practices what she preaches.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
AM: My mom inspires me every day. She teaches me how to have a relationship with Jesus and to be a better person.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
AM: Bre Curry has left the biggest impression on me. She has really good work ethic and always puts her team first no matter what.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
AM: The jersey I wear is a big target so everyone we play we always get their best A game, so we always have to be ready to play.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
AM: “See ball, hit ball,” my dad always tells me that.

AM: I want to give a shoutout to my family for always supporting me and always loving me through everything.
