OUTLOOK
The 2024-25 edition of the Lady Jags will feature several players with experience and solid knowledge of the game. Head coach John Powell said the roster features some very talented players.
“Westmoore Lady Jags have a very talented group of young ladies. We are looking forward to competing against every one of our opponents. We are confident in our ability to win games the right way and believe in our ability to change the culture of Westmoore Girls’ basketball. Our main goal is to be one of the top 8 teams the week of March 10-15th,” said coach Powell.
Kyiah Prestridge (Jr.) is one of the top players in the state and brings a high basketball IQ to the floor. A student of the game, Prestridge is always looking for ways to make herself and her team better. Nicolette Langhans (Jr.) is a great competitor who does what it takes to help her team be successful.
Nyia Abdullah will compete for playing time this season. Abdullah is a guard that can play the 1 or the 2 and can create for herself or her teammates. She’s a dynamic in the open floor and in transition. Aliyah Prestridge (5-10, Fr.) is an incoming freshman who is expected to make an impact this season at the varsity level. She has the tools to become one of the best players to suit up for the Lady Jags.
Dadreanna Frost (5-6, Sr.) is a shooting guard who averaged 13 points a game. She is explosive at attacking downhill and will lock you up on the defensive end. Frost is a natural at her position and someone who can get hot on any given night.
Brylynn Ormiston (Sr.) and Kierra Talley (Sr.) are two players expected to make an impact this season. Both players have roles on the team and will contribute to the overall success the Lady Jags experience this season.
