Cheerleading is Kynzlee Birchett’s life. Her academic and cheer accomplishments make her a standout senior at Moore High School. After winning many awards wearing her cheer uniform she will proudly wear the white honors gown rather than the traditional blue at graduation.
Maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout high school with her busy cheer schedule is not easy but Kynzlee’s love for competitions drives her. “I love working as a team getting ready, but the actual competition is the reward of working so hard all year,” she says.
Kynzlee competes in All Star cheer and is on her high school’s advanced team. She credits her amazing coach, Lindsay Driskell, for much of their success. Her school team has won NCA every year of her high school career.
Kynzlee says 2022 was the best year overall for cheer. “I was on three (All Star) teams and school cheer! Chiefs level 5, we won both NCA and Summit. Smoke Jr. 5, we also won both NCA and Summit. Voodoo level 6, we globed at worlds. As you see, cheer is my life! 2022 was a hard year cheering on all these teams. But it was my favorite year cheering ever!” she exclaims.
Her personal accomplishments include making All American every year at NCA camp and being selected as an All State cheerleader to cheer at the East and West All State football game this summer.
Winning championships and titles fuel the passion but she has gained much more than trophies. “I love sharing my experiences with others, to help them follow their dreams and reach their goals! As a cheerleader, I love giving back to the community by doing community service projects. Also, I have learned a trade, so I am able to coach cheer,” she said.
Kynzlee thanks her parents Marshall and Cindy Birchett, for working to put her through All Star and school cheer. She says it is all her amazing coaches who got her where she is today. Coach James Foreman stands out. “He has coached throughout my cheer career. He has been there through the highest highs and the lowest lows, always pushing me to be the best of the best!”
