Coach: Hope Heinen

23-24 Record: 7-19

OUTLOOK

With several players returning to the lineup, head coach Hope Heinen is optimistic her team can find their identity and put their hard work over the summer and early practice to use.

“We are returning three starters that includes one senior, and two sophomores. They are a young group with a lot of potential to surprise people as they gain experience,” said coach Heinen.

Division I prospect Adriana Radinovic (6-3, So.) is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and someone who loves the game. Coach Heinen called Radinovic a “great rebounder and someone who is flying under the radar” when it comes to recruiting. Radinovic is a matchup problem for nearly every opponent the Lady Antlers will face.

Another sophomore to watch is Darien Johnson at point guard. Johnson is an explosive guard who is hard to contain. Johnson can score in a variety of ways and continues to improve her game.

Keep an eye on Nadia Traylor (5-9), a freshman who brings a strong skill set and knowledge of the game that will help Deer Creek this season. Also look for Jazlyn Menifee (5-10, So.) who can play guard or forward. Coach Heinen expects Menifee to be a force on the board and have a strong presence on both ends of the floor.

Kayleigh Steele and Caylea Brown are two glue players who keep the program pointed in the right direction. Both players have a great work ethic, and focus on the team and culture, putting their teammates first.
