COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN ROYALS

Coach: MATT MCINTOSH

5-6

OFFENSE

A handful of impactful players return to the lineup despite the Royals graduating several key seniors. Head coach Matt McIntosh enters his 11th season with a roster that features James Peterson (6-4, 300, Sr.) who is a D1 prospect with an offer from Air Force and more expected to role in. Peterson is joined up front by Peyton Ables (6-2, 240, Sr.) and Hutton Stitt (5-10, 230, Sr.), two physical offensive linemen who move the line of scrimmage and pass protect with the best in the state. At the helm of the fast-spread offense is quarterback Valor Vaughn (6-1, 170, Jr.) who threw for 870 yards with 11 TDs and rushed for 469 yards and four TDs last season. Vaughn has two excellent targets in Jaden Bowers (6-0, 170, Sr.) and Aaron Horstkoetter (5-9, 150, So.). Bowers caught 21 balls for 285 yards and four touchdowns as a junior. Austin Eshelman (Fr.) is an outstanding athlete and could develop into an impact player at WR for the Royals.

DEFENSE

The Royals will run a 3-3/3-4 defense and play an attacking style with linebacker Jaiden Dox (5-10, 180, Jr.) and outside linebacker Carson Rehkop (6-0, 165, So.). Cox recorded 35 tackles while Rehkop accounted for 45 tackles. Rehkop started as a freshman and is a three-sport athlete. Quinn Housley (6-3, 210, Sr.) adds more size and physicality to the linebacker spot giving the Royals three backers who can fly around the field and make plays. A pair of defensive ends in Iain Garmon (6-0, 210, Jr.) and Peterson will cause all sorts of problems for opposing offensive units. Last season Peterson recorded eight tackles for loss and three sacks. Also look for Reef Wilcox (5-10, 150, Jr.) at corner where he made 22 tackles and had nine pass breakups as a sophomore. The Royals will compete on every down and keep the offense in games.
