Yukon’s Aiyana Mitchell
VYPE: Aiyana, what grade are you in and what position are you playing on the Yukon softball team?
Aiyana Mitchell: I’m a sophomore and I play 3rd base.
VYPE: What’s the toughest part about playing 3rd base?
AM: The toughest part about being a 3rd baseman is the hot shots that comes with being that close to the hitter.
VYPE: What is the strength of your game?
AM: My strength is my leadership, and I would say my weakness is confidence just within myself.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
AM: My stepdad inspires me because of the way he has presented himself in my life and by a role model for me.
VYPE: What do you love about your team and teammates?
AM: I love how much our team comes together after every game win or lose we stick together.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school?
AM: Representing Yukon is special for me because my older sister played for Yukon as well and I get to a chance to play with my twin sister.
VYPE: What current or former teammate left an impression on you?
AM: Peyton Golden has made a big impression on me because she constantly has my back and makes me laugh when I’m going through a hard time.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
AM: I want to go on to play Division I college softball.
VYPE: Last question. If you were stranded on an island, name three people you would want with you?
AM: My mom, stepdad, and twin sister.
