EDMOND NORTH HUSKIES
Coach: CORBIN BYFORD
2024-25 Record: 21-8
OUTLOOK
Edmond North boys basketball enters the new season with a different look but the same high expectations. After a 21-win campaign, the Huskies reload with a roster built around two proven starters and a wave of young talent eager to make its mark. First year head coach Corbin Byford likes the mixture of leadership from the seniors and upside from the underclassmen, and he knows the group will grow quickly as they navigate a demanding schedule.
Junior point guard Chauncey Cravens (5-10) is the engine. One of the most dynamic floor generals in the state, Cravens averaged nearly 9.0 points and almost 6.0 assists while showing an advanced feel for running a team. He creates offense off the bounce, sees the floor at a high level and has the ability to control tempo against any style. With more scoring responsibility on his shoulders this winter, expect him to hunt his own shot more often while still setting up teammates and organizing the offense.
Alongside Cravens is sophomore wing Jerrell Copeland (6-7), an athlete who flashed big time potential as a varsity starter as a freshman. Copeland averaged 7.5 points and showed that he can score at all three levels. His length and bounce make him a matchup nightmare, and as his confidence grows, he has a chance to emerge as one of the top underclassmen in the state. Together, Cravens and Copeland form a one two punch that gives North creation on the perimeter and a high ceiling on both ends.

The senior class provides stability. Guards Lucas Leeds (6-3) and Rett Morris (5-11) along with forward Zeke Wehr (6-6) bring toughness, maturity and a commitment to doing the little things that win games. Leeds in particular is the kind of player every coach trusts, a steady presence who leads in the locker room, in the weight room and in the classroom. Their example has set the tone for a hungry junior and sophomore group that includes Spencer LeBeau (6-1), Reece Fisher (5-9), Adrian Garcia (5-10), Walker Grande (6-5) and Cooper Holbrook (6-3), each battling for rotation minutes.
