PIEDMONT WILDCATS

Coach: Brian Beale

23-24 Record: 16-9

OUTLOOK

As head coach Brian Beale prepares the Wildcats for the upcoming season, one thing he lacks this year is experience. With limited players returning, the team needs to mature quickly, and a few underclassmen need to step up and play some quality minutes early.

“Piedmont will be a young team that does not return a lot of experience from last season. We have two returning players with varsity experience,” said coach Beale.

Hudson Hite (6-1, Jr.) is back after averaging 11 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Hite shot 55% from the field. A two-year varsity starter, Hite will be the go-to scorer in the lineup. Bryce McConnell (6-4, Sr.) will start at forward giving the Wildcats a player who can average nearly 5.0 points a game and grab 2.5 rebounds. McConnell can also hit the three-ball.

Preston Lee (5-8, Sr.) can play point guard giving the Wildcats a player who can dish, make good decisions with the balland play some solid defense. Jacob Campbell (6-2, So.) is an exciting young player at forward. Campbell has the skill set to play in the paint or step out and hit from three-point land.

Other players to watch include Carter Hainrihar (6-0, Jr.) at guard, Isaac Christensen (6-4, Jr.) at forward, Diron Carter (5-10, Jr.) at point guard, and Isaiah Aghasedo (5-11, So.) at guard.
